NAYU KAKEYA
Portfolio

The theme of Kakeya Naoyu's artwork is "a way to touch love."
I create a variety of works, including paintings, wall art, and partitions.

I design architectural and interior materials for luxury brands and hotels both in Japan and abroad.
The theme of my work is “A Means to Touch Love.”

Philosophy

At the heart of my creative practice lies the question:

“How can we truly touch love?”

I create artworks for luxury spaces both in Japan and abroad,
blending traditional techniques such as gold leaf with contemporary methods like 3D printing.
I see this field as one that has been nurtured through a long history and tradition,
and one that continues to be deeply valued—a sustainable realm of artistic expression.

Upon this rich cultural foundation,
I weave my sensibility and philosophy as an artist,
seeking new forms of value and ways of expression for the future.

My vision is to contribute to a gentle world
where everyone can take pride in their own sensibilities
and live authentically as themselves.

Profile

Based in both Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and Hitachiomiya City, Ibaraki, I travel between these two places every week to create my work.

I believe that sketching nature under the vast sky and capturing the speed of the city are equally important.

The theme of my work is “Ways of Touching Love.”
