Philosophy

At the heart of my creative practice lies the question:

“How can we truly touch love?”

I create artworks for luxury spaces both in Japan and abroad,
blending traditional techniques such as gold leaf with contemporary methods like 3D printing.
I see this field as one that has been nurtured through a long history and tradition,
and one that continues to be deeply valued—a sustainable realm of artistic expression.

Upon this rich cultural foundation,
I weave my sensibility and philosophy as an artist,
seeking new forms of value and ways of expression for the future.

My vision is to contribute to a gentle world
where everyone can take pride in their own sensibilities
and live authentically as themselves.

Nayu Kakeya

Profile

Based in both Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and Hitachiomiya City, Ibaraki, I travel between these two places every week to create my work.

I believe that sketching nature under the vast sky and capturing the speed of the city are equally important.

The theme of my work is “Ways of Touching Love.”
